Phish frontman says Tony nom impressed daughters

NEW YORK ? While Phish frontman Trey Anastasio has a highly devout fan base, it takes a little more to impress his teenage daughters. But that changed when he was nominated this season for a Tony Award.

"They were completely unimpressed with the rock thing. Not impressed at all. This was huge for them," the 48-year-old Phish frontman said Sunday on the red carpet at Radio City Music Hall before going into the Tonys.

Anastasio, and wife, Susan, say their daughters Eliza and Isabella are huge musical theater fans.
