Nude Nail Polishes Spark An 'Anti-Nail Art' Trend In Hollywood (PHOTOS, POLL)

After watching nail art lovers like Zooey Deschanel, Katy Perry and Rihanna roll out decked-out digits on the red carpet, many celebrities are now returning to pared-down manicures with nude nail polishes.

This is due in large part to the beauty industry recognizing that "nude" is not confined to one color. Flesh-toned shades of beige, peach, taupe, caramel and chestnut (yes, there are finally more shades for dark-skinned girls!) have been recently formulated by Laura Mercier, Butter London, Jenna Hipp and RGB, just to name a few brands.

While nude nail polishes may be a bit too neutral for my scene-stealing style, there are a few advantages to wearing these basic colors.
