A South Boston lawmaker yesterday called on the Boston Redevelopment Authority to void its vote on a controversial development project that a top aide for Mayor Thomas?M. Menino helped greenlight during closed-door meetings without any community input.
?When it comes to the business of government, the public?s trust is tantamount,? state Rep. Nick Collins wrote in a letter to BRA Director Peter Meade. ?We do not want to give (the people of Boston) the appearance that there are different rules for different people.?
