Luxury designer Karl Lagerfeld made quite the statement today on the tails of a recent march in Paris that protested French president Francois Hollande's plan to legalize gay marriage. Such a statement was made at Lagerfeld's haute couture show for Chanel, during which the fashion maven sent two models hand-in-hand down the runway wearing couture bridal gowns. The pair of models, who walked with one of the designer's young nephews, closed out the long-awaited show that occurred as a part of Paris Fashion Week. Chanel Exhibit Celebrates Designer's Involvement in the Arts

A new exhibit that celebrates the work of luxury fashion maven Gabrielle Chanel at China's Guangzhou Opera House is unlike the label's Beijing and Shanghai exhibits in the same country. While the latter two take a biographical approach to commemorate the iconic designer, the new exhibit, which will run today through March 3, is thematically based on a ballet called Le Train Bleu,for which Chanel designed the costumes. Chanel Ordered to Pay €200,000 in 3-Year-Old Lawsuit

The latest in fashion news reveals that luxury label Chanel is ordered to pay €200,000 to a former knitwear supplier following an appeal from a 2009 lawsuit that said the house copied one of World Tricot’s crochet patterns. While Chanel was originally able to put to rest a lawsuit by the knitwear company that claimed wrongful termination of a business relationship and counterfeiting, a Paris appeals court overturned the counterfeiting portion of the original suit Friday....
