Historic Resort Completes Mural Restoration

The Renaissance Vinoy Resort & Golf Club in St. Pete, FL has completed a full restoration of four original murals in its restaurant, in celebration of the resort’s 20th re-opening anniversary. The legendary property tapped renowned Florida muralist Robert Schott along with Tom Stovall, to bring four original murals from the Pompeii Room, now known as Marchand’s Bar & Grill, back to their former glory. The re-opening of the Renaissance Vinoy Resort & Golf Club in 1992 was a momentous occasion that not only brought an abandoned hotel back to life but helped spark a revitalization of the downtown St. Pete area.
