It's owned by Rollins College, a private coeducational liberal arts college in Winter Park, funded by a $12.5-million grant from the Harold Alfond Foundation. Any net income from the hotel will fund The Alfond Scholars program, which provides scholarships and financial aid for students. Luxury designer Michael Kors is doing his part by launching an exclusive long-term partnership with the United Nations World Food Programme, which aims to help solve the international hunger crisis.
