Breitling Unveils World's First Wristwatch With Dual Frequency Transmitter

At the Baselworld watch expo that wrapped up yesterday in Switzerland, luxury timepiece brand Breitling unveiled a real-life James Bond gadget: the world’s first watch with a dual frequency locator beacon. Better yet, the stylish luxury timepiece does double duty as a high-tech search-and-rescue instrument. The Emergency II, with a steel case and yellow dial, is priced at $15,750 and is fully compliant with the Cospas-Sarsat international satellite alert system which serves to both issue alerts and guide search and rescue missions. Chopard Celebrates 20th Anniversary of Iconic Wristwatch

Chopard, the Swiss-based luxury watch, jewelry, and accessories brand, was founded in 1860 by Louis-Ulysse Chopard when he was only 24. Today, the brand is celebrating the 20th anniversary of one of its most coveted timepieces with a new model and customization options. The Happy Sport collection, as the name implies, is designed to be elegant, sporty and playful. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the first model in the collection, Chopard is releasing a women's version of the model, called the Happy Sport Medium Automatic. The new model will be available in eight different variations priced from $8,100 to $41,240. Michael Kors Introduces New Watches to Help Fight Hunger

The luxury fashion world is notorious for being tied to charities, non-profit organizations, and the overall mission to help those in need. Luxury designer Michael Kors is doing his part by launching an exclusive long-term partnership with the United Nations World Food Programme, which aims to help solve the international hunger crisis. Kors' involvement will produce two new unisex watches— a $295 smaller model and a $325 larger version— that will allow for 100 children to be fed through WFP for each watch that is sold.
