Charity Event at Kiawah Island Golf Resort Has Chefs Cooking For a Cause

Some of the best chefs in the country and southeast region are preparing to pack their knives and head to Kiawah Island where they will join winemakers from Italy, New Zealand and the U.S. in a weekend-long culinary and wine extravaganza benefiting cancer research at the Hollings Cancer Center at the Medical University of South Carolina. Located just south of Charleston, South Carolina, along 10 miles of pristine beach, Kiawah Island Golf Resort was recently named the No. 1 golf resort on the U.S. Mainland by readers of the prestigious Conde Nast Traveler magazine. 1959 Lefty Les Paul Guitar Fetches $194,500 in Auction to Benefit Fraud Victims

One of only two 1959 left-handed Les Paul guitars ever made sold for $194,500 at Heritage Auction’s Vintage Guitars & Musical Instruments Signature Auction. The musical instrument is just one of four left-handed guitars from the 1,600 produced between 1958 and 1960. More than $1.24 million in sales were reported for the event that occurred on October 27, 2012.
