When we heard about a new hotel and mall combo opening in Orlando, Florida, our initial thought was that the development mostly likely wouldn’t cater to affluent patrons. The combo usually brings to mind Westins and Hiltons, which in themselves aren’t bad options, but aren’t especially high end. However, with the Capella Hotel Group partnering on the project alongside developer BlackMINE Group, it seems like we may have judged it too quickly.

Art in Odd Places (AIOP) has transformed six blocks of Magnolia Avenue with sculptures, shadow puppets, murals, singers, and interactive exhibits that will run from today until Sunday. The Gallery at Mills Park Just Sold for a New Year Record of $66.5 Million

Last week, The Gallery at Mills Park, a luxury apartment complex near Orlando, sold for $66.5 million in the most expensive single property sale in the last year. The 310-unit complex, completed in 2014, was purchased by De Bartolo Development, and promises to draw residents with newly-built restaurants, groceries, shops and entertainment in the surrounding areas.
