Taiwan and Vietnam Tourism Cooperation Conference

In its first tourism cooperation conference with Vietnam, Taipei seeks to reach out towards Vietnam and establish closer economic and cultural ties in a move likely to further bolster tourism from both countries, a welcome economic boon for both. Already there has been a nearly 60% increase in Vietnamese tourists in Taiwan.

The first ever Taiwan and Vietnam Tourism Cooperation Conference was held in Taipei yesterday.

Attendees exchanged insight on the overall situation of the tourism markets in Taiwan and Vietnam, and worked to establish more robust and regular communication between the two countries.

Tourism Bureau Director-General David W.J. Hsieh, Vietnam Tourism Bureau Director Nguyen Van Tuan, and Bui Trong Van, representative of the Vietnam Economic and Culture Office in Taipei, all attended the conference.
