Every curve of the Cyclorama at The Boston Center for the Arts will be pulsing Thursday night with the excitement of New York's acclaimed Suspended Cirque.
Marking the company's Boston debut, the performance will be the centerpiece of this year's Boston Center for the Arts annual benefit event. The audience will be immersed in a spectacle of music, movement and maneuvers in the air, on the floor and across the walls of the Cyclorama.
Suspended Cirque is New York City's first Aerial Circus Theater troupe. Using narrative, song and choreography along with the circus acts, these troupes create their shows through the individuality and artistry
of the performers.
The BCA, which celebrated its 40th anniversary last year, is a not-for-profit performing and visual arts complex that supports working artists to create, perform and exhibit new works, develops new audiences and connects the arts to the community.
General admission tickets, which include the 8 p.m. performance and a post-show dessert reception with the artists, are $50. VIP tickets, which include 6:30 p.m. admission to a pre-show supper, reserved seating and dessert reception are $175. All proceeds from the evening will benefit the visual, performing and community programs at the BCA. For more information or to purchase tickets online, visit BCAonline.org or call 617-426-5000.
