Although it has been an incredibly mild winter so far and we really can?t complain too loudly, most Bostonians still can?t help but dream of beautiful sandy beaches now that it?s February.
Some impressive giveaways up for offer will be a trip for two to South Africa; a Caribbean vacation for two to St. Lucia or a trip for two to The Grenadines; two round-trip tickets on the Amtrak Downeaster; a two-night stay at the Hotel Regno in Rome; a free nine-day Danube River Cruise for two; a three-night Coastal Maine Vacation; and a two-night stay at Lake Opechee Inn & Spa and a trip to Tokyo.
Also attending this year?s show are travel writers Arthur and Pauline Frommer, who will discuss when and where to splurge on your next vacation as well as highlighting new destinations. Actor and travel writer Andrew McCarthy will share his vision on the Transformative Power of Travel and how it can change your life. One of our favorite authors, Patricia Schultz, writer of 1,000 Places To See Before You Die, will also be on hand to discuss some of the most amazing must-see destinations in the world while Patrick Smith, author of the column Ask the Pilot, will discuss the myths and misconceptions surrounding air travel.
Be sure to check out the two stages of culinary demonstrations where you can see local chefs showing off some of their favorite recipes while offering sample tastings. Over the weekend festivities, there will also be a variety of entertainment, including live Aruban music, animal educators from SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay with some exotic animals and live Irish music and step dancing.
