Location, location, location is what The Boston Harbor Hotel is all about. Situated directly across the street from the Rose Kennedy Greenway, the waterfront hotel offers one of the best views in the city of Boston Harbor, Logan Airport, Seaport District, and beyond. You may know the architectural marvel from its dramatic archway and domed rotunda at Rowes Wharf (or from visiting the Odyssey or Spirit of Boston docked out back) but what you may not realize is the pet-friendly property is one of the most photographed buildings in New England.
We recently stayed in a spacious Harbor Deluxe Room, which featured a breathtaking view of Boston Harbor from the enormous picture window in the sitting room. The hotel recently underwent an extensive renovation and the result is beautifully updated rooms complete with marble entrance and powder room. The hotel’s on-site restaurant, Rowes Wharf Sea Grille, has an incredible wine list with culinary creations by Chef Daniel Bruce, creator of the popular Boston Wine Festival.
No matter what day of the week you are staying here, there is some free entertainment happening here under the Summer in the City Entertainment Series. Every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening throughout the summer, the Rowes Wharf Sea Grille’s harbor side terrace offers live music. On Fridays, don’t miss music from DJ Mike Amado and Friends before a movie screening of Jaws or An American in Paris, projected on a large screen over the harbor. On Thursday nights during the summer, there is also a Blues Barge floating stage for blues performers like the James Montgomery Band and Bruce Marshall Group.
If you don’t have time to stop in The Rowes Wharf Sea Grille, head over to Sea Grille To Go, an upscale food truck parked outside the hotel. The truck serves up items like summer green salad with a lemon herb dressing, grilled organic chicken breast with sweet garlic aioli and crisp haddock fillet of fish sandwich with caper parsley tartar.
Boston Harbor Hotel is located at Rowes Wharf in Boston. For reservations or more information, call (617) 439-7000 or visit BHH.com.
