It’s Thirsty Thursday. There you have it. A good excuse to slink on over tonight to the Alley Cat, the long awaited (and much needed) waterfront bar, which opened Tuesday, nestled in an alley between the Boston Harbor Hotel’s Rowes Wharf Bar and the harbor.
Get your drink on early (4 p.m. to be exact) at this alfresco after-work escape where you can sip on some fun cocktails created by master mixologist Wember Castillo. Try the Harbor Sunset made with Peach Schnapps, root liquor, vanilla syrup, bitters, prosecco or the signature Alley Cat with Double Cross, Serrano mint syrup, muddled cilantro and lime juice.
Grab a seat in front of the flat screen outdoor TV next to a patio heater and pair up your libations with some light snacks like chicken and cheddar cheese quesadillas, grilled ham and boursin cheese sandwiches or a margherita pizza.
This just might be the best kept waterfront happy hour secret in town.
The Alley Bar at Rowes Wharf is open weekdays from 4 to 10 p.m. during the summer months. For more information, call (617) 748-1857 or visit BHH.com.
