Boston Things To Do: The Battle of Bunker Hill, the first major battle of the American Revolution, is marked by the Bunker Hill Monument which stands 221 feet tall. The obelisk was built between the years of 1827 and 1843 in Charlestown, Massachusetts.

The spire has become a prominent part of the area landscape and visitors to the monument have the opportunity to climb the 294 stairs inside the tower and enjoy the amazing views from the top.
