Q & A with a Las Vegas VIP Concierge

Las Vegas Concierge: Have you ever wondered how some people seem to walk straight into the club, get the best table and the best service? Chances are they know someone. In a city where knowing the right people makes all the difference, there's only one insider we recommend for all your Sin City needs. Inna Matveichuk, the CEO of Global Elite, will go above and beyond to make your Vegas experience one you will never forget.

Q. How long have you been in the business?
A. I've been doing this for six years now, but I've been in Las Vegas for 12 years.

Q. Has being in Las Vegas for so long helped you in your work?
A. Definitely. I've become friends with so many people and know where to go and who to talk to. The people that used to work at the doors are now managing the clubs or working for the casinos in some capacity.

Q. How does knowing these people help you help your clients?
A. Well, there's so many different types of request --- getting VIP access and bottle service for the nightclubs is the most popular but we are always assisting with cabanas, room upgrades, restaurant reservations, exotic car rental, golf tee times you name it and we can get it done. Knowing someone who knows someone just makes it so much easier to get things accomplished.

Q. Why shouldn't people just contact the casinos on concierge service department when their staying at the hotel?
A. That's one way to go but you won't get the same service we offer. A VIP host at the casino will get you through the door but pretty much at that point you're on your own. With our service we not only escort you in but make sure your table is set up and your server is ready to treat you like the VIP you are. Then we'll stay there to make sure you are getting everything you need, even the Limo is on standby to take you to the next hot nightclub.

Q. What about those passes that your taxi driver tries to sell you for $20? Are those a waste of money?
A. YES...don't buy those. They are free. The cabby is just trying to make an extra buck.

Q. What are some of the best hotels and clubs in Las Vegas?
A. The Palms seems to be a favorite and you can't go wrong with The Tryst at The Wynn. The LAX at the Luxor will start getting a lot of attention too. I have a great relationship with the hotel management and VIP hosts at all of them. Also, I really like Pure and I personally know all the cocktail servers there.

Q. Typically, what brings your clients to Las Vegas? Bachelor and bachelorette parties?
A. Of course I get a lot of parties for such occasions (more bachelor parties than bachelorette parties though). But I get clients for so many different kinds of reasons. The other night I had a divorce party. They had a cake, a hummer...the works. Usually, it's just a group of friends coming together for a good time.

Q. What's the most outrageous request you've ever received?
A. Well, I don't consider anything outrageous because I'll do anything I can (within reason) to make my clients happy. I did just have a client, who flew in from Morocco with 15 of his friends. We had a fleet of Maybachs pick them up at the airport. They stayed at different hotels each night just to get the most out of their Vegas experience. I even had them flown to Lake Las Vegas for a round of golf. When my client realized he had forgotten his favorite case of wine back in Morocco, he was beside himself. So, I chartered a jet to go pick up the case of wine for him. There is nothing I won't do for my client.

Q. Do you have partnership with hotels and clubs in Las Vegas?
A. No, not partnerships...just long-standing relationships.

Q. Aren't there a lot of concierge services in Las Vegas? What makes Global Elite the best?
A. There are a lot of concierge services, but none are comparable in terms of service. I'd say there are about seven that focus ONLY on nightlife, and many others are really just start-up companies. I hate to say it, but I've even heard stories of companies taking clients' money. A lot of people get ripped off. Some companies will collect the money and won't even show up. I give all of my clients my cell phone number and tell them to call me anytime for any reason.

Q. Really, anytime?
A. Vegas never sleeps, which means me and my staff are on call 24/7. There are no limits to what I'll do for my clients. If a client wants flowers delivered to the room at 3 a.m. then I'll make sure it happens. It's funny, a lot of requests I get are for battery chargers. People are always forgetting their cell phone chargers.

Q. How far in advance does someone need to contact you should they decide they need your services?
A. I'd say one to two days is fine unless they need me to make travel plans for them. They can call me first and get a quote. Or email me.
