Chicago Things To Do: Arlington Park is a horse-racing track just outside the city of Chicago, and has been referred to as "the most beautiful track in America." Hugely popular when it first opened in the 1930s, it is still a busy venue, seating up to 50,000.
The track features a 1 1/8 mile synthetic dirt track with a one mile turf track inside. The race season begins every year in July with a festive Opening Day and continues through the summer months.
