Update your status and let the Twitterverse know that Norwegian Cruise Line is gearing up for its second annual #SeaTweetup Cruise. Luxury cruise liner Norwegian Sky will depart from Miami on October 12, 2012 for a weekend of social media inspired fun. Travelers will set sail for the Bahamas where they’ll visit Nassau before heading onto Great Stirrup Cay, Norwegian’s private island, and return on October 15.

The event was put into play by noted members of the social media community in South Florida as a way to network in a relaxed, entertaining environment. Those in attendance will take part in group activities like social media marketing discussions, giveaways and cocktail parties. These cruise goers will also be among the first to see improvements to Great Stirrup Cay.

While these social butterflies are enjoying their weekend at sea, they will be sharing each and every exciting experience with their followers to maintain current relationships and build new ones. The Norwegian Sky’s Internet Café and own Wi-Fi network will be made available to guests so they can tweet, Facebook, and blog on board and at special events in port using the hashtag #SeaTweetup.
