The Elbe is one of the most well-known rivers in Central Europe, passing through the Czech Republic and on to Germany, making it a great route for a cruise. However, the water is much too shallow for traditional propulsion vessels to manage; which is why CroisiEurope has come up with their newest ship, the MS Elbe Princesse.

People will soon be able to enjoy year-round cruises from Berlin to Prague courtesy of the Elbe (and the Vltava river) on board the 321.5-foot-long MS Elbe Princesse, which utilizes paddle wheel technology to combat the shallow waters. Built by Saint-Nazaire shipyard, the vessel has two decks, two paddle wheels, and 40 outside staterooms that can sleep 80 guests. There are also plenty of places to enjoy the views from, including a panoramic restaurant, lounge bar, dance floor, and a sun deck.

"Beginning in April 2016, the MS Elbe Princesse will visit iconic sites along the Elbe and Moldau including, Berlin; Potsdam and the Sans Soucis Park; Wittenberg, town of Luther; Meissen and its porcelain; Dresden, the Florence on the Elbe; Elbsandsteingebirge, with its natural and architectural wonders; Litoměřice, one of the most beautiful cities in the Czech Republic; and Prague, the mythical golden city," noted CroisiEurope.

One of the boat's biggest perks, according to CroisiEurope, is that it is small enough to be able to port in the heart of the above towns, right next to countless historical areas.
