Art Deco WeekendŽ is proud to present the 2nd Annual Art Deco Weekend Fashion Show. The Miami Design Preservation League has partnered with the Miami International University of Art & Design, Next Model Management, The Clevelander, and Wimbash to bring you an exciting hour of Art Deco, Fashion, and Music! You won't want to miss this event!
Fourth year fashion students from Miami University of Art & Design developed a collection of formal evening gowns inspired by Miami Beach?s Art Deco Hotels along iconic Ocean Drive. The students' pieces incorporated color, details, patterns and lines, unique to the composition stylings of Art Deco architecture. These gowns will reflect the influence of Art Deco on the era's fashion trends.
Professional models from Next Model Management will walk the runway at the Clevelander to the musical talents of DJ Rampage and Doug Wimbish. Miami Beach's own, George Neary will MC the event. The fashion show will have a panel of celebrity judges including Mayor Matti Bower, David Bernard (CBS 4′s Chief Meteorologist), Lisette Gonzalez (CBS 4 Meteorologist) and Michael Gongora (Miami Beach commissioner). The judges will be giving out prizes to the top designs of the evening. |
