Comedian Ron White, known as the cigar-smoking, scotch-drinking funny man from "Blue Collar Comedy," got a very lucky break while performing at his first comedy club amateur night in Texas. Jeff Foxworthy happened to be in the audience and was so impressed that he made White his regular opening act.
From 2000 to 2003, White performed with Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry The Cable Guy on "The Blue Collar Comedy Tour." The show has played to sold-out audiences in more than 90 cities and has grossed more than $15 million.
When not performing with Blue Collar, White is a regular headliner at comedy clubs and concert venues across the United States.
White also has released his own successful comedy albums, "Drunk in Public" and "You Can't Fix Stupid," which is also the name of his one-hour Comedy Central special that aired in 2006. That same year he released his book "Ron 'Tater Salad' White: I Had the Right to Remain Silent...But I Didn't Have the Ability." It debuted at No. 15 on the New York Times Best Seller List.
Later that year he reunited with his Blue Collar colleagues for "Blue Collar Comedy Tour- On the Road," which had its world premiere on Comedy Central.
