They say the sand on Fort Myers Beach is the best in the world for sculpting. To prove this, every year around 65,000 spectators and artists gather at the Outrigger Beach Resort for the American Sandsculpting Championship Festival.

By mixing water, sugar, fine white sand and artistic talent, masters and amateurs transform the beach into an art show. Check out the Master Sculptors Competition or participate in the amateur's contest. The Sand Magic Village has artisan and food booths on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. All five days feature broadcast music, demonstrations and beach barbecues.

The event takes place on Fort Myers Beach between the Outrigger Beach Resort and the Holiday Inn Beach Resort.
