The world's leading men's and women's tennis stars battle for victory at the Mutua Madrileña Madrid Open, part of the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 series. The games take place at the Caja Mágica in the south of the city.
Grand Slams aside, the Masters Series is the world's highest-ranking tennis competition. The ATP Masters 1000 tournaments attract the cream of the sport's elite as they vie for the coveted title of World Number One. The series includes four tournaments in North America, four in Europe and one in China, culminating in the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals in London which showcases the year's top eight players.
