The Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens, a beautiful 47-acre seaside haven on the north Mendocino Coast, takes on a nighttime personality when the 3rd Annual Festival of Lights makes a return appearance from Friday, November 30th Sunday, December 9th. In this rural community where the nights are truly dark, tens of thousands of twinkling lights transform Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens into a blossoming winter wonderland and create a magical mood for the holiday. Majestic tall trees are dressed in tiny, colorful lights while the understory beds bloom with "flowers of lights." Stroll through a tunnel of lights; amble by magical toadstools; gaze in wonder at exotic forms of lighted cacti; take your picture in front of illuminated art pieces; find your way by the glow of luminarias; be awestruck by a forest of decorated holiday trees; enjoy a hot drink and dessert; shop for holiday treasures and natural wonders; and most importantly, be prepared for surprises!
