Fashion is all about new looks and next trends, which is why Atlanta Apparel at AmericasMart® initiated the Emerging Designer Showcase. Following a successful launch at the August 2012 market, the inspiring category returns to Atlanta Apparel?s first market of the year, January 24-28, 2013 (temporary exhibits, January 24-27). New brands and fresh talent will be exposed to top buyers viewing product introductions and unique creations by some of the newest names in the industry.

The highly competitive and juried showcase, located in PREMIERE® Contemporary on Floor 2, features a select group of innovators who, to qualify, had to submit fashion sketches, a look book or product samples to be considered.

Securing a spot in the new category gives up-and-coming designers critical exposure to the apparel industry and extensive networking opportunities with key buyers, while specialty retailers get a chance to preview what?s next in fashion and meet individually with designers to learn more about their lines. The Showcase also provides designers with hands-on experience and insights into how to operate a business effectively in a wholesale marketplace.
