The Dance Umbrella is a three week long programme of
contemporary dance and choreography, exhibiting all styles from
African jazz to break dancing and motion (physical) theatre.
Artists, hailing from some of the most obscure corners of the
globe, see this as one of the biggest modern dance festivals in the
world; in 2009 it will be in its 21st year.
