Imagine strolling past the Eiffel Tower and being able to enjoy many of the French cuisines and wines that are such a huge part of that country. Well if you happen to be in the Santa Barbaraarea sometime around mid July, you will be able to do just that. Every year Santa Barbara plays host to their annual French festival.
A welcoming Bonjour will probably be the first thing that you experience while attending this fun-filled event. The many vendors who attend this gala affair will be providing you with many of the French delicacies that you normally wouldn’t be able to indulge in unless you actually boarded a plane to France. There will be not only French cuisine but an array of other exotic culinary treats.
The wine will be flowing the food will be plentiful, and everyone attending this unique festival will be dressed as though you’re strolling through the streets of Paris. While you’re there you will also be able to enjoy a variety of music and entertainment from local musicians. The music will include classic French music, jazz and even a little gypsy music thrown in for your entertainment.
If you’re looking to do a little bit of shopping there’ll be a large variety of vendors selling their wares. Whether you’re looking for arts and crafts, clothing, jewelry, or even a comfy pair of shoes to walk around the festival in, something for everyone will be available during this special event. Oh and by the way, don’t forget to attend the infamous French poodle parade. These little pooches are dress to the nines in their fancy attire and “strutting” their stuff for everyone’s enjoyment.
