Boeing and Airbus have a long history of fierce competition, especially when it comes to soaking up positive PR, and next month's Paris Air Show will almost certainly be an interesting battle between the two industrial giants. Showcasing their latest and greatest designs, like Boeing's 787 Dreamliner, the Paris Air Show promises enthusiasts a unique chance to get to know the titans.
With the Paris Air Show just a month away, Airbus may be preparing to try to take the wind away from Boeing’s resurgent 787 Dreamliner.
Airbus rolled out its fully painted and flyable A350 Monday, with engines installed, and this week was starting to run that aircraft through electrical testing.
That gives rise to speculation that Airbus will stage a flight of the new plane at the Paris Air Show, which opens June 17.
Like the roughly same-sized Dreamliner, the new A350 will feature the latest high-efficiency engines and composite structure.
