Capella Pedregal If Heaven exist then It has to look something like Capella Pedregal. This location is concealed by rough mountain terrain although it is only about 45 minutes away from the Cabo San Lucas international airport. It's right along the beach and offers a sight that is like no other.
As hotel arrivals go, the one at Capella Pedregal is pretty spectacular. About 45 minutes from the Los Cabos airport, you reach a tunnel that cuts 300 meters through a mountain. On the far side is the grand entrance to a Mexican beach resort—outsize adobe buildings, star-shaped glass lanterns, reflecting pools, and torches—and behind it, in the Pacific, humpback whales breaching as if as on cue.
That tunnel, it turns out, plays a major role in differentiating Capella Pedregal, which opened about four years ago, from its long-established competitors like Las Ventanas al Paraiso and the One & Only Palmilla. It came about at the suggestion of the developer’s young grandson, who recommended it when Granddad didn’t know how to access the spectacular stretch of coastline he owned.
