San Diego is getting a bit of a break from staying classy, apparently, as Anchorman 2 has been spotted filming in Atlanta, Georgia (or maybe SD has an infinite level of classy... but I digress), which has me wondering what the in the world could get a local anchorman like Ron Burgundy to travel more than half way across the country. Okay, I'll admit it: I'm likely way more excited for Anchorman 2 than I should be for someone my age.
The Will Ferrell comedy "Anchorman 2" is filming in downtown Atlanta today. The crew is back from a jaunt to the coast where Ron Burgundy shared a scene with a fake shark. Here's a photo of Ferrell following his dip in the Atlantic Ocean.
Today they are filming downtown at Woodruff Park. Here are some great photos from Kathleen Bowen and GarnMcCown. The scene is set in vintage New York City. See the late Mayor Ed Koch admonishing people to "Keep NYC Clean?"
A bunch of retro cabs are parked outside the Rialto Theater. Classy indeed!
