Atlantic City will host its holiday parade on December 1st right alongside a massive lighting program meant to really bring out the Christmas and holiday spirit amongst residents and visitors. Central to the holiday festivities is the 35-foot tall Christmas tree perched at the foot of the Atlantic City Expressway.
Atlantic City will be showing off some new holiday attire when the Atlantic City Tourism District launches a new holiday parade along with a $600,000 holiday lighting program Saturday, Dec. 1.
The parade will begin at noon and include more than a dozen floats, bands, community groups and costumed characters. The hour-long parade will also feature Miss Atlantic City 2012 Aliyah Montaque and an appearance by Santa Claus as it winds its way from Vermont Avenue along Atlantic Avenue and toward Tanger Outlets – The Walk at Michigan Avenue.
Atlantic City’s main corridors, including Atlantic Avenue, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Center City Park and O’ Donnell Park will be putting on strings of holiday décor intended to showcase the city’s can-do spirit and provide a festive background for the parade.
