The world lost something precious with the passing of renowned R&B singer Billy Scott, who died from pancreatic cancer on November 17th in his Charlotte home. R&B singer Billy Scott has died at the age of 70. Scott who's real name is Peter Pendleton was reported by Yahoo News on Monday, Nov. 19., to have died on Saturday at his home in Charlotte N.C., following a brief battle with liver and pancreatic cancer.
Best known for his beach musical hits such as "I Got the Fever," and "California," today Billy Scott is being remembered and honored today by his family, friends and fans.
Those who knew Billy Scott said his lasting legacy is how unselfish he was in championing beach music.
