Atlantic City is sponsoring a program Thursday at the All Wars Memorial Building to commemorate Black History Month by showcasing local artists.
Sheila Harvey, the city’s special events coordinator, said an assortment of local artists, poets and singers will share their talents, including Union Temple Baptist Church’s Voices of Hope choir and the Atlantic City Theater Guild.
The event, which is free and open to the public, is part of a larger initiative to promote the city’s home-grown arts community, Harvey said.
