"The Book of Mormon," the hottest show to hit Broadway in recent years, will headline Florida Theatrical Association's 25th anniversary season in Orlando.
Florida Theatrical Association confirmed the booking, which had been widely anticipated, on Wednesday.
The show will be staged during the 2013-14 season, which begins this fall, at Orlando's Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre. It looks to be the last season of Broadway shows at the Bob Carr as the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts is scheduled to open in the fall of 2014.
"The Book of Mormon" opened on Broadway in March 2011 and quickly became a pop-culture phenomenon, in part because of its pedigree.
