As far as sporting events are concerned, Boston has the market cornered; there really isn’t anywhere more engrossing than watching the Red Sox play at Fenway Park. Add to that the Patriots, Celtics and Bruins and you’ve got yourself a long line of professional teams that Bostonians are known to be fanatical about. However important these sports are to the city, though, there’s nothing that can compete with the clam chowder, baked beans or shellfish available in Boston.
One of the things that make these dishes so appealing is that they are relatively simple to prepare, making finding ridiculously delicious meals in Boston as easy as walking to the nearest local restaurant. What makes these offerings even better is that a lot of what they make in Boston is relatively (when compared to Tex-Mex, Southern barbeque or southwest dishes) mild, which is a nice touch for those on vacation or travelling on business as you won’t have to avoid certain meals for fear of future stomach pains. However, even though the food is somewhat un-spiced, they are still hearty and, most importantly, utterly delicious.
