 Boston Calling Music Festival Fun fact: Boston has never had a major rock festival. That will soon change as they will have their first major rock festival on May 25 and 26. There are expected to be over 20,000 people in attendance on each of the two days.
It has been a long time coming but Boston is getting its first major rock festival -- Boston Calling goes down May 25 and 26 at City Hall Plaza.
How major is our first big fest? Here's a taste of who is coming: Fun., the National, the Shins, Of Monsters and Men, Young the Giant, Andrew Bird and few (not enough) local acts such as Caspian and Bad Rabbits. Totaled up it will be 20 some bands on two stages over two days (with an expected 20,000 each day). Early Bird tickets on sale this Friday at 10 am.
