Cabo will now receive flights from Austin

Cabo San Lucas tourism should rise in the next couple of months as they will now be receiving flights from Austin, Texas. Southwest airlines will be provided the flights and the fares start at $227 one way trip. Flights will begin on June 1st.

Pack your bags, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. Southwest Airlines Co. and its subsidiary AirTran Airways will offer a direct flight to SJD Los Cabos International Airport in Baja California, Mexico starting this summer.

Daily service begins June 1, and is open for sale now with introductory fares starting at $227 one way.

The carrier announced late last year that it would begin service between Denver International Airport and SJD Los Cabos International Airport in early March.
