Although many NFL fans in Charlotte would love to see the Super Bowl come to their hometown, the fact of the matter is that Charlotte just doesn't have what it takes right now to accommodate such a massive event.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. —Indianapolis and Charlotte have a lot in common, but a big difference is that Indianapolis landed a Super Bowl and is going after another one.
So Eyewitness News went there to find out what Charlotte needs to host one, too.
Indianapolis, just like Charlotte, is one of the NFL's smaller cities. Both have the same two pro sports: football and basketball. Both are big on college hoops. And every year, both can count on the same kind of event to attract visitors nationally: racing.
