 college game day San Diego sports fans will be excited to hear about ESPN's first ever San Diego broadcast of College GameDay. Officials have noted the show will differ slightly from previous episodes, featuring a tribute to the military and featuring the naval base there.
They’ve been to the big cities — Los Angeles, Phoenix, Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta, Boston, Pittsburgh, Miami.
And they’ve been to outposts like Bowling Green, Stillwater, Corvallis, Colorado Springs and Boise.
But in 19 seasons, covering more than 250 shows, ESPN’s “College GameDay” has never broadcast from San Diego. That changes Saturday when the cast and crew board the USS San Diego for the three-hour college football pregame show, featuring host Chris Fowler, analysts Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit and Desmond Howard and reporters Samantha Steele and Tom Rinaldi.
