There are Comic-Cons all across the United States, but none of them come close to the grandiose event due to arrive in San Diego in just a few short weeks. Featuring Hollywood Stars, video game industry giants, artists from across the land and more, this year's Comic-con will be yet another super-massive festival dedicated to all things popular, nerdy or both.
The con sounds as ridiculously huge as ever, as Hollywood continues to dominate with displays, movies and television-show previews.
The guest list is incredible as always. You'll see more actors strolling around the floor looking for inspiration at the con than any event this side of the Academy Awards.
The big comic companies will also put on dog-and-pony shows laying out their plans for the rest of the year and beyond. The smaller comic publishers fight for attention in that rarefied air and, even further down the line, indie publishers, artists and writers hang out in the far reaches of the cavernous center hoping people eventually reach them with credit cards that have not been maxed out.
