A host of exciting shows are set to launch on the weekend of the 26th as the city of London's Soho area unites for World Hunger Day 2013. With two years of The Hunger Project UK putting on stellar events unlike any before them, this year's project promises to top even those smashing successes.
After The Hunger Project UK’s successes of two sell-out concerts at the Apollo Victoria and the Royal Albert Hall in 2011 and 2012 respectively, this year’s World Hunger Day events move to an equally iconic venue - PizzaExpress Jazz Club in Soho, which was redesigned in April and now features artwork celebrating its jazz roots. Since 1969, PizzaExpress Jazz Club has welcomed on its stage some of the world’s greatest musicians including Ella Fitzgerald and Amy Winehouse.
This year, World Hunger Day 2013 falls on 28th May 2013 and will be celebrated throughout the extended May Bank Holiday weekend with six exciting shows (26th and 28th May 2013 inclusive). The entire weekend will be hosted by Award-winning Broadcaster, Journalist, Singer and Actress, Jumoké Fashola.
