NBC 10 Philadelphia There’s nothing that calms the nerves of anxious travelers like hearing a gun go off in the airport right before their flight. This happened at the Philadelphia International Airport on September 24, which is likely to have left passengers feeling as secure as ever.
A Philadelphia police officer will be required to get more weapons training after a flight attendant’s gun went off at Philadelphia International Airport Sunday.
WCAU-TV reported that the unidentified Republic Airlines attendant had forgotten her gun was inside her bag when she went through a security checkpoint early Sunday morning.
Authorities say she had a legal permit for the gun. She was taken into custody and received a summary citation for disorderly conduct before being released.
