 Patrick Farrell The city of Miami will be honored as the very first in the entire western hemisphere to feature a project designed by the brilliant and internationally recognized Zaha Hadid. The new skyscraper is set to take up the site of the BP station at 1000 Biscayne and is intended to become the centerpiece of the area. The Iraqi designer has also been approved for several other nearby projects.
Internationally recognized architect Zaha Hadid has been commissioned to design a skyscraper in Downtown Miami -- her first in the Western hemisphbere.
Hadid’s tower will be built at the site that is now occupied by the BP Station at 1000 Biscayne Boulevard, directly across from Museum Park. The selection of Hadid was confirmed Monday by the investment group behind 1000 Biscayne Tower, which is managed by local developers Gregg Covin and Louis Birdman.
