via Twitter One of the last things you would expect to see is graffiti based on Lance Armstrong the world famous tour de France competitor. But in fact inspired Lance Armstrong graffiti has been popping up all around the Los Angeles area. The artist has remained anonymous and is still a mystery.
Street graffiti art inspired by Lance Armstrong is drawing notice as it pops up around Los Angeles.
Over the last week, a stenciled, spray-painted image of a cyclist wearing a yellow jersey and riding a bike while hooked up to an IV has turned up in different locations, mainly in the Melrose area.
At first, the street art was attributed to Banksy, but a representative of Banksy released a statement saying the British artist has nothing to do with it.
So the real artist remains a mystery. Greg LeMond? OK, probably not.
Armstrong admitted last week to using performance-enhancement techniques during all seven of hisTour de France victories. The winner of the Tour de France wears a yellow jersey.
