The team has made a statement implying that they are out to look for the team's best interest on the long run. This could mean a number of things but one thing is for sure, younger players means longer service.
No Orlando Magic player has generated more trade rumors ahead of the Feb. 21 NBA trade deadline than J.J. Redick, who is in the midst of a career year and is in the final year of his contract.
But it wouldn’t shock anyone if the Magic, a rebuilding franchise, make other moves. Veterans Jameer Nelson, Arron Afflalo, Josh McRoberts and others could draw interest.
The Magic have indicated to their players that they’re not looking to deal anyone, but team officials have acknowledged that it’s their duty to listen to offers and try to find ways to make the team better long-term.
