Receiving the Keys to the City has always been a token honorary procedure that carried with it a heavy symbolic meaning, but now merely being famous is more than enough for Miami's recognition as demonstrated by the Kardashian sisters Kim and Kourtney's reception of the honor. The Kardashians were flattered by the honor but it's debatable how many Miami residents agree with the decision.
Reality TV star Kim Kardashian and her sisters have been honored with the keys to the city of North Miami, Fla.
The socialite and her sister Kourtney have been filming their latest reality series, “Kourtney and Kim Take Miami,” in the Sunshine State, and they were given a special welcome by Mayor Andre Pierre on Monday as he presented them with the accolade.
