A woman seriously injured in an accident in Scottsdale delivered a pleasant little miracle when her baby survived despite dramatic trauma to the mother and was delivered with only minor complications. Other passengers in the car escaped the collision relatively unscathed, with only minor injuries to her other children who at the time of the crash were sharing a seat belt.
Scottsdale police said a baby was delivered after a crash in Scottsdale on Monday night that injured the baby’s mother and two children.
According to Scottsdale police, a man driving a red Buick struck the side of a silver Honda Accord while the Honda was turning left onto Roosevelt Street from Hayden Road in Scottsdale.
The pregnant woman, who was passenger in the Honda, suffered serious injuries and was taken into emergency surgery. Her baby was delivered with minor complications and she is now recovering, police said.
