If Orlando International Airport is any indication, then the electric car is back, and this time to stay. The U.S. Department of Energy has said that the energy efficient cars have exploded in sales, and with major travel hubs like the Orlando International Airport rushing to adapt, it may well be a longer lived trend than its 1980's equivalent.
Last year, according to the U.S. Department of Energy, electric vehicle (EV) sales tripled in the U.S. As market demand continues to grow, offsite airport parking company, Fast Park, has completed the installation of ten charging stations in three of its 13 markets, including three in Orlando. The program will be branded FastCharge at all locations and charging a vehicle will be a complimentary service for Fast Park customers.
“Our priority is always to exceed our customers’ expectations and meet their changing needs,” said Melanie Chavez, Executive Vice President of Construction and Branding at Fast Park.
