Paul McCartney is going to performing in Orlando on May 18 and this is an opportunity for those in Florida to watch one of the most impactful musicians in history up close and personal. If catching one of his shows isn't on your bucket list, you may just need to rethink your priorities and life choices, unless of course you've already seen him. Then you should try to catch the show to experience another great concert.
For die-hard fans, an opportunity to watch Paul McCartney is more than a rock concert:
"We're watching history right now," said Gary McKechnie, 50, a freelance travel writer in Mount Dora and lifelong Beatles fan who has seen McCartney multiple times. "This isn't just a performer; this is the most prolific composer of the 20th century, a person who creates songs that people sing for decades."
One of the next chapters in that history will unfold next month in Orlando, where McCartney will open his 2013 U.S. tour with a May 18 concert at Amway Center. It is the former Beatle's only performance in Florida. Tickets, priced from $57.50 to $250, go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.
