For those who are impatient (who isn't?) and often wonder to themselves where in the world their train is at any given moment, there is now an app to answer that question. The application tells the user exactly how far away the train is from the stop, which could hopefully ease some of the tension for many riders in New York City.

The MTA has released an iOS app that tells you how far away your train is from your subway stop.

It's called MTA Subway Time, and it's sure to make you feel much less stranded as you wait for a train that never seems to arrive.

The app accesses live MTA data to give you a countdown on when your train arrives.
